| About the areas | |
| Entrevaux | Digne |
| A French citadel 2000 years of history, a medieval city with a fortress built under King Louis XIV by Vauban, Border of France until 1860. The canon stopped roaring a long time ago, but the city has kept its charm of the past centuries. Nestled among terraced olive-groves, surrounded by limestone polished by centuries, under an eternal blue sky, Entrevaux is a charming historical site, an ideal spot for touring, a stage in the History of France. | Jardin Botanique des Cordeliers (One of the Top 10 Gardens of Provence) - In the centre of town, the garden has a medieval look, planted in squares for the growing of aromatic plants for essences and medicines. More than 350 species recall the importance of Plants in Provencal Life. |

| Your First Day
Upon arrival at the Oasis, relax and out on your most beautiful and smallest swimming costume to dive into the Mediterranean sea, only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. A towel, a good book, you will need nothing else except a good skin protection, sun glassses, and maybe a hat. At lunch try a Pan-Bagnat (this is a large roll with tomatoes, tuna, anchovies, small broad beans, eggs, small black olives from Nice, maybe some lettuce, onions, olive oil and salt, like a good salade niçoise, without any cooked vegetables. At the end of the day back to the hotel to dress up. Then to the Old Town to Chez Pipo behind the port church, for the most famous Socca in Nice, with a Pissaladiera and a Pastis or a glass of wine. After that a short stroll to Le Plongeoir a small private beach/restaurant on the port, near La Reserve, where you can eat at the top of an old diving board with a great view of the Baie des Anges. Then mingle with the Nice Summer Night life on the Cours Saleya and try one of the many pubs of the old town or a piano bar or nightclub. |

Day Take a train ticket to Monaco at the station (5 mns walking from the Hotel Oasis) your costume and your sunglasses and join in 20 mns travelling to the famous rock, there you can visit the Oceanographic museum, the castle, the Hotel de Paris place and take back the train to stop in Villefranche sur mer. There walk down the few steps to join the sandy beach and take the time to live and to appreciate the sun. The best thing to do after is to have dinner there, at the Cosmo , the most atmospheric bar and restaurant of the place, or in the old town, at " L'Echalotte ", a really good small restaurant near the church, where you can taste a quasi gastronomic menu for 20€. Then take a taxi to return to the Hotel Oasis, or train if it's not to late. |
